Danny Gans has raised over $2,000,000 for local charities in Las Vegas.

The annual Danny Gans Champion's Run for Life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 and will benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. The 5K run and children's walk gets bigger and more exciting each year. This year's event will be held in Henderson at The District at Green Valley Ranch. Together, Danny Gans and the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation will raise money to benefit the children of our community that have been diagnosed with cancer and other life threatening or critical illnesses. The 14th Annual Danny Gans Partee Fore Kids Golf Tournament will be held November 1 - 3, 2008 at Dragon Ridge Country Club. The celebrity Pro-Am tournament benefits The First Tee of Southern Nevada and the Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy. The Danny Gans Junior Golf Academy is a program of The First Tee of Southern Nevada sponsored by Danny Gans.

Members can earn Danny Dollars by answering questions, fun competition among peers, and/or by demonstrating proper life skills and golf etiquette. Please note: Danny Dollars are redeemable only through TFTSN.

The program consists of a one hour group instructional clinic, once a week for six weeks. Each session has five sections, covering every golf level ability. At the end of each six week session, participants are evaluated and are encouraged to enroll in the section which is best suited to their golf instructional needs. The First Tee of Southern Nevada is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established through the merger of the Southern Nevada Junior Golf Association and the Southern Nevada Inner City Youth Golf Association. More than 7,000 members throughout Southern Nevada age 6 through 17 are encouraged to participate in development clinics, educational seminars, tournaments, and special events throughout the year. The First Tee mission is broader than simply teaching youth how to play golf, our unique curriculum has a strong life skills component that includes community service and mentoring opportunities.

Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization that serves people with intellectual disabilities by providing them with vocational training, employment and social recreation services that make their lives more productive and interesting. Through Opportunity Village’s programs and services, hundred of people with disabilities are learning vocational skills and being places in jobs throughout the community. The Lili Claire Foundation was established to inspire a new awareness of Williams Syndrome and other neurogenetic disorders and to enhance the lives of children living with neurogenetic birth defects.
